School started today (boo). We were lucky to only have a short day though (yay). We got a bunch of labs and met a new teacher. Everything seems to be pretty much the same as last semester (yay), except we won’t be having Friday’s with the other set any more (boo).

Three new years resolutions:

  1. Take a picture of my dinner every day and post them here every second Monday
  2. Improve my grades, dazzle at clinical, get hired somewhere
  3. Be less lazy (same as last year)

Scott and I are going to see Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna tonight. I am excited!

Winter break is almost over. :(

We’re going to a friends house for NYE tonight, then tomorrow is the polar bear swim. I’m still undecided whether I will actually swim or not. It’s supposed to be nice and sunny, which is good, but it’s also supposed to be around 4°C! It’s snowing right now!! BRRRRR!!!

I bought our tickets to L.A. in March. Scott and I will spend two nights there together, then I fly to Fiji and he flies home. We’ve already planned to go to a basketball game, and to go to Magic Mountain, but other than that I have no idea what to do there or where we should stay. Any recommendations?

I don’t think I have ever mentioned this on my blog, but for all of 2012 I’ve been keeping this ridiculous spreadsheet to record how many times I did certain things. Like… how many times I ate banh mi (8). Or how many labs I did at school (42).

I am not going to lie, I’m glad this year is over and I don’t have to do this any more. While the results are somewhat interesting, it was pretty annoying to have to keep up with it all the time. I have other ideas for 2013 though… so my record keeping isn’t quite over.

ANYWAY, without further delay, here are me results!!

I made these Mario shoes for one of Scott’s Christmas presents this year. They’re a replacement for his old pair that got ruined on a wet day. These new ones have been waterproofed, and I didn’t use that horribly runny light blue Sharpie, so they should hold up much better.

  • I learned how to take blood pressure measurements manually and visited some nuclear medicine departments
  • My aunt and uncle came over for sushi dinner at our house, which I then dropped on the floor
  • Scott went to Melbourne for two weeks
  • I did skeleton for the 3rd and 4th day, finally broke 100 km/hr, and I got to try bobsled
