Yo! We are currently in Ipswich, England after a whirlwind last couple weeks.
After our big road trip we had a week in Vancouver to tie up loose ends. It was a good week thanks to our Vancouver friends. We were very needy and so many people helped us out. I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much to Liz, Rob, Ryan and Rosemarie for letting us sleep on your couches.
A huge thank you to Ruana for taking us out whale watching!
It was so cool. At first we just saw orcas swimming around, which was already pretty neat, then they suddenly started jumping all over the place! The three of them were hunting a giant sea lion right in front of us. It was COOL (except for the sea lion, RIP sea lion). They did big dives and tactical maneuvers, and then celebratory back flops after. Super neat. It was incredible to see them from so close.
Another big thank you to Cam for organizing another trivia night before we left. Too bad I’m shit at trivia. I will miss that though, he does such a good job on the quiz.
Thanks to Rob for letting us in and out and in and out and in and out of your storage locker while we got our pallet ready for shipping. It was quite stressful getting everything coordinated but we did it, and now the pallet is currently on a boat towards Australia. We only made one mistake that I’ve noticed so far: accidentally shipping our raincoats. (Lucky we had Lauren’s sweet connections to get new ones before we left! Thanks Lauren!)
Thank you to Lesley for a nice lunch and games. Glad we got to squeeze in one more visit.
Thanks to everyone who came out to The Alibi Room for a fun night out. That was a nice last night out in Vancouver. Mmm super dry cider!
The photos of the orcas are amazing but for some reason I’m finding the first two super hilarious because it kind of looks like they’re flyboarding. But just… really low :D hehehe.
