A week off from school/clinical a couple weeks ago meant a rare chance to do my nails. I dusted off all my water marbling supplies and had a go. It went really well actually, I didn’t mess up any of them up!

PS you can check out my water marbling tutorial HERE.

I also got my hair cut the other week for the first time in 14 months. It was getting pretty straggly and bushy. I like having long hair though so I didn’t get a huge change this time.

Upgrade!! I like the cut. It doesn’t look quite as smooth now though because I don’t usually ever blow dry my hair. :/ Sorry so lazy.

This is definitely not my best daily dinners posts. The last two weeks have been really really hectic and busy with moving and starting summer clinical. All my normal routines were disturbed!! So I missed a few photos here and there.

may 19th, 2013 – rotato (and other Summer Night Market treats, blog post to come soon)

I have no clue what I had for dinner on May 20th. Fail.

may 21st, 2013 – toasted submarine sandwich

More after the jump…Continue reading

We finally have internet so I can blog again!

We’ve been REALLY busy for the last week and a half, which was a good thing because I don’t think I could survive without internet for so long if I didn’t have so much stuff to do.

Since the end of school we moved out of our old apartment and into our new place. We cleaned the old place. Went to the food convention twice. Went to Lesley’s house. Visited with Lauren. Went out for drinks. Got my hair cut. Water marbled my nails. Started my summer clinical placement.

Just this weekend I prepared and cooked a porchetta and finally unpacked the last of all our boxes. Lesley is coming over in a bit for patio drinks and Ticket To Ride. I still need to study a bit for knowledge testing tomorrow.

Sooo… lots of blog posts to come! Here are some of the pictures that didn’t fit into any of my other posts…

look what Scott found while cleaning the fridge at the old house!!! best surprise ever!!

I’m going to take some apartment pictures RIGHT NOW. :)

It’s pretty unfortunate that I don’t have internet access this particular weekend because it’s the food convention weekend. I have a press pass and should really be showing you lots of drool-worthy photos of food and drink to convince you to go if you are in Vancouver. instead I’m blogging from my phone with no pictures.

You’re just going to have to trust me and get your butt to BC Place tomorrow or Sunday because when I DO show you what we ate you are going to wish you were there. The tickets are $14 if you buy them online and are well worth it because there are enough free samples to stuff you. Plus extra things from Vancouver restaurants and breweries and wineries to buy if you want.

Lauren and I went today and had a great time. Some of the best things i ate were coconut milk ice cream, maple spread, sabra guacamole, and strawberry lemonade. Scott and I will go again tomorrow morning. See you there! I will post pics as soon as I can next week.
